Mechanical and Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a professional Mechanical and Electrical Engineer with wide ranging knowledge of both disciplines, strong technical design skills, knowledge in energy efficiency and the ability to work well in a team. You will work on a range of electrical and mechanical building design projects from the Council’s wide ranging portfolio of properties.

You will be a formally qualified incorporated Engineer, Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology or equivalent and technically competent in mechanical and electrical design. Previous experience of producing electrical design and calculation of lighting, small power containment and distribution and use of AutoCAD software is essential.

You will be working within a team responsible for the day-to-day/planned facilities contract, the backlog programmed works, capital projects, completing tender packages, preparation of budget cost reports, initial and detailed design of electrical building services. You will also demonstrate strong client liaison skills.
